Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026. GEET Premium Living ("GEET", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and your dashboard, why we collect it, how we protect it and what choices you have. By applying for or staying at a GEET residence you agree to the practices described here.

Who We Are

GEETâ„¢ Premium Living operates professionally managed short-term flexi-stay residential accomodations in Kolkata, India, this website and resident dashboard. For any question about this policy or your data, write to [email protected].

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to run your application and your stay:

  • Account and application details: full name, date of birth, gender, nationality, mobile number, email address, password (stored only in encrypted form), occupation type, and the company or college you are associated with.
  • Booking preferences: preferred residence, occupancy type and move-in date, visit date and time slot, move-in date, time and arrival preference.
  • Identity documents and verification details: ID proof type, number and images (such as Aadhaar or Voter ID, front and back), your photograph, and your present and permanent address, collected for the mandatory police verification.
  • Accompanying persons: the name, gender and ID details of anyone who accompanies you on a property visit or at move-in.
  • Payment details: payment method, UTR / transaction reference, payment date, amount and the payment proof you upload. We never ask for or store your card number, UPI PIN or net-banking password.
  • Refund details: bank or payment details you provide so that a refund can be sent to you.
  • Stay details: your resident ID, room allocation, food-plan choice (veg or non-veg), notices, electricity shares, invoices and payment history.
  • Messages and feedback: anything you send us through the Contact form, email or support requests.
  • Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, and the date and time of sign-in and of acceptance of our terms, used for security and record-keeping.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • review and verify your application, check availability and schedule property visits;
  • carry out the police verification required before move-in;
  • verify payments and issue invoices, reminders, statements and refunds;
  • allocate your room, manage your stay, food plan, notices and move-out;
  • send you important emails about your application, payments, dues and your account (for example confirmations, reminders and password or sign-in alerts);
  • keep our residences and residents safe, prevent fraud and misuse, and enforce our house rules and terms;
  • respond to your questions and improve our service; and
  • meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Why We Are Allowed to Use It

We process your information because it is necessary to provide the accommodation you apply for, because you have given us your consent by submitting your details, because the law requires police verification and record-keeping for paying-guest accommodation, and because we have a legitimate interest in keeping our residences secure and our records accurate.

Who We Share It With

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share the minimum necessary information only with:

  • the police and other authorities, for tenant verification and wherever the law, a court order or a lawful request requires it;
  • our authorised staff and management, who can access only what their role needs;
  • service providers that help us run the service, such as website hosting and email delivery. They may process your information only on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations; and
  • your roommates or co-occupants, only to the limited extent needed for shared matters such as splitting an electricity bill (for example, your share amount) and never your documents or payment proofs.

Identity Documents and Payment Proofs

Identity documents, photographs and payment proofs are stored in private storage that is not reachable from the public internet. They can be opened only by authorised GEETâ„¢ Premium Living employees who are signed in, and every such access is limited to a business need. They are never shown on public pages.

How Long We Keep It

We keep your information for as long as your application or stay is active and afterwards for as long as is needed for the purposes above, including accounting, tax, dispute handling and legal obligations, including any period for which police-verification records must be retained. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it. Invoices and payment records are retained for the period required by Indian accounting and tax law.

How We Protect It

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted passwords, secure (HTTPS) connections, private document storage, role-based staff access, sign-in alerts for new devices, and activity logs for sensitive actions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if we learn of a breach.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use only the cookies needed to run the site: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and protects forms against forgery, and similar essential cookies. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but the dashboard will not work without them.

Emails We Send You

We send service emails about your application, payments, dues, stay and account security. These are part of the service and are sent to the email address on your account. If you stop wanting reminders, contact us; some account and security emails cannot be switched off while your account is active.

Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information (you can also update some details from your dashboard, such as your profile and password);
  • ask us to delete your information, except where we must keep it by law or to settle a dispute or dues;
  • withdraw consent for optional processing, which will not affect the lawfulness of what we did before; and
  • raise a complaint with us, and if you are not satisfied, with the relevant data-protection authority.

Children's Information

Our residences and this website are meant for adults. We do not knowingly accept applications from anyone under 18 without the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a minor has given us information without permission, contact us and we will remove it.

Third-Party Links

Our site may link to other websites, such as maps. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when our service or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If a change is significant, we will notify you by email or on your dashboard. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
